Summary
The last thing Bob remembered was making a glass explode with the sheer will of his mind and then everything became a total blank. Next thing he knew, he had been practically adopted by The New Avengers and was living in the Watchtower with his newfound friends. Life began to get good and his relationship with each member improved to the point where he could confidently call every single one of them a friend.
And then one day, out of the blue, a memory trickled in, one of John F. Walker bashing his dad in the face with a shield and knocking him out. The memory shouldn't have made Bob blush or fixate on how hot Walker looked in the moment, but it did and he had to do something to let the man know just how thankful he was.
So of course he kissed him.
"Um... uhhh... wh-what?"
Bob smiled brightly, feeling way too good now to even care about being embarrassed or flustered. "That was for knocking the shit out of my dad back in the void. I just remembered it."
"Oh."Or, Bob thanks John with a kiss and it just keeps happening.

The brunette offers a grunt of a response as he puts together that whatever it was just involved the two of them. He wasn't really upset to any degree if that was the case. He would just settle with being mostly disgruntled.
"What were you told already?"
John settles more in the spot, oblivious, probably, to squishing into Bucky more. Or could be doing it on purpose. "Wanted us to take out two labs and pick up some sensitive data from a military base in Kentucky. Mentioned something about dropping us off in upper Nevada to pick up a donated vehicle."
Bucky makes a face at the last part of information, "Nevada to here?" He says, trying to mentally think how far that would even be.

“I used to give Nancy massages,” Steve says.
It’s out before he even knows where it came from. Really it’s like somebody else said it, commandeering his voice — the thought process didn’t happen, or if it did, it happened without Steve’s supervision. Maybe something to do with brown waves of hair, dimmed lights. He’s too busy balking at his words to retroactively connect any dots, at the moment, so he can’t be too sure.
Eddie’s just as confused, it seems, because he goes completely still. The silence hangs heavy, for the three or four seconds it’s there, and Steve wishes he could see Eddie’s face. Finds himself incapable of guessing at the expression he might be wearing right now. He just has to stare at the back of his head, the tensed line of his shoulders, until Eddie finally says, “Oh, yeah?”
