“This isn’t as easy as it seems!” Kakashi whined, clearly exasperated but managing to keep his voice at a volume that wouldn’t startle the children.
Iruka sighed. He closed his eyes and told himself to be patient with him– that Kakashi was trained to maim and kill with accuracy and efficiency, not to build baby furniture.
So was Sai and he put Sakura’s bed together in 30 minutes, thought the other voice in his head, the one that was tired and in desperate need of a shower.

Summary
Kakashi has the vague idea he should be doing something to take care of Minato-sensei's son. He should, right? Maybe get him some kunai? Or shuriken? But when he goes looking for the kid, he finds out the chuunin he said couldn't cut it is already taking care of him. Or trying to, anyway.
Iruka and Naruto share some history; Iruka tries to teach him how to take care of himself, and Kakashi offers the only thing he has to help out.
