It perturbed Yesod; he had only barely given up his high collars and covered hands and his skin itched against the bare air and beneath his clothing, as if there were thorns sewn in. He would greet guests whose fingernails stank like viscera and filth, he would spend time alone trying to purge himself of unmentionable thoughts, and he would go check on Netzach to make sure he was getting his work done and it would not matter how many times he had been re-measured and given new clothing, nor how many times he had been told to tuck in his shirt and to make sure his buttons were aligned in their particular places, and to actually tie his tie instead of leaving it hanging limply around his neck - he had found some way to make a mess of himself.
