    Two years after the Battle for the Living, the harshest winter in living memory still hasn’t ended. Sansa Stark is desperate to save what’s left of her people, but there’s nothing she can do except hope that they don’t all slowly starve before winter ends.

    Well, nothing she can do until the Old Gods hear her desperate plea and send her back to Winterfell months before King Robert stepped foot in the North. Now all the “what ifs” she’s spent contemplating are possible and she’s promised the Old Gods she would do anything to save her family and the people of the North even if that meant staining her honor, allying with old enemies, or entering yet another unwanted marriage.

    Or the one in which the Old Gods have zero tact and Sansa is determined to keep the game of thrones from ruining her family or the North.

    After the Last Supper, Alicent and Rhaenyra say goodnight to Viserys together. Fully aware of Viserys's wishes, Alicent must now choose between her king's love for his daughter, and her own love for their sons. And though she 'knows' in her heart that her family deserves the throne, claiming it comes with a price: Rhaenyra's life.

    Or does it?

    Alicent knows Aegon's not fit to rule, but she still fears Daemon's ascension. Inspired by the fate of the first and last Storm Queen, she proposes a creative way to save Rhaenyra by installing Aemond as her King Consort. Aemond gets to reign, Otto gets to rule, Aegon gets to relax, Ser Criston gets revenge, and Alicent gets Rhaenyra. Everyone gets what they want. Every one of the Greens, that is.

    Rhaenyra is the key to the Seven Kingdoms, and the Hightowers hold her in their hands. More importantly, they hold the mother of seven children. And while Daemon is a formidable commander, he's also a terrible parent.

Drogon lands in Volantis--Quaithe mysteriously arrives to guide Kinvara. By sacrifice, amid smoke and fire and blood, Daenerys again takes breath, damaged and twisted by her death, but remembering three cardinal convictions, three objectives to guide a second chance at life: Liberty, Revenge, and Family. The world overturns in War, and a young girl from the aristocracy of Old Volantis is challenged by her family's ancient connection to the Dragon Queen. This story is beta-read and directly contributed to by Wardown, and inspired by discussions with him, as well as a request to Wardown by Morrika.
