After a 10-year-long escape from the boring and ever-tranquil life in Blackwell, she comes back with her family after a family emergency in her hometown of Blackwell, Oklahoma. Alone again in an unfamiliar town, she begins to work in the local diner in town, serving the truckers passing through on 177 and the local cops. Coyle finds her as delicious, something fresh and new to play with that did not kiss the ground he walked on.
He wants her to fall in line: admire him, want him and justify him. She wants to feel wanted. Who cares about the ring on his finger or the string of abuse which follows him?AKA Author had a thought about Coyle fucking the waitress in his comic in the diner bathroom with a splash of cheating, shame and manipulation. This fic was meant to be a PWP but turned into something else.

“Well,” he drawls, pushing off the rig and strolling over, “if it isn’t my favorite morning disruption.” Irony driping of his mouth.Your jaw clenches.
Douglas gestures politely but entirely uninterested.
“Miss, this is Mr. Vincent Whittman—our weather reporter.”Vincent steps closer, mismatched eyes gleaming with amused recognition.
Of course.
All of New York City, millions of people, and the one arrogant prick you managed to piss off before eight in the morning turns out to be a higher-ranked coworker.
