Maybe I can still make it...’ Ran through Powder’s mind like a mantra as her feet hit the pavement over and over again, desperation acting as wind behind her, carrying her forward as she raced against time. It was only a few more blocks in the twisted streets of Zaun until she’d be at the outskirts of the industrial sector, hopefully in time to stop her family from capsizing from the weight that was their love for their father. Her bombs were thrown in a bag, disassembled just enough to avoid any unwanted explosions - even if her bombs didn't have the best track record for going off at all, it would really solidify Powder’s nickname of Jinx if the only time they actually worked was to blow herself to pieces on the way to the actual showdown.
Or: One, small thing changes, and Vi gets to grow up with an adoptive father and three brothers. There is a Powder-sized hole that gets larger and larger, until it's ugly and infected and it looses all meaning.

Summary
Isha stood on her tippy-toes, barely able to see the mirror above the cracked sink. Her tongue was caught between her teeth, the tip of it hanging outside her mouth in concentration, as she tried to swipe at her hair with hands covered in blue dye. When she had first got the idea, it had seemed so easy - dye, meet hair! Fabulous! But instead, a slight panic was starting to creep into her mind. There were splothes of colour on the tiled floor from where some of the liquid had seeped from between her fingers, and she could feel the clammy feeling of the dye on her neck even without being able to see it. Simply put, her impromptu hair-dying session had turned into a mess.

Summary
Katsuki is 26. It’s 9 AM on a Saturday and he wakes up alone, wrapped in soft covers and to the smell of coffee. Katsuki doesn’t like coffee, and his covers are singed and rough and falling apart, but Shouto does like coffee, and has soft sheets that he washes every week. Katsuki takes a shower, puts on a hoodie from one of Shouto’s closets, and leaves.
(Or Shouto and Katsuki are kinda Toxic and trying(and failing) to navigate the not-relationship they've got going on)

Dean pulls the roll of cash out of his pocket, peels off bills that are warm and damp from his body heat and the day’s sweat. It’s absurd, but he gets the sudden idea that it would be rude to give them to this guy like this, that he ought to let them crisp up in the cool air before handing them over. “How’d you get this stuff?”
“You really want to know that?”
But what the fuck is Dean on about, this guy is a piece of shit, who cares if he gets handed the cash equivalent of a body-warm toilet seat. “No, I guess I don’t.”

Summary
He looks up and realizes the man is the only one remaining and that it’s his hands gripping Dean like a lifeline, keeping him from crushing his own ribs. The guy is talking to him, but the words are very touch and go as they pass through the ringing in Dean’s ears.
Dean stares at him, missing all the finer details of the scene but at least making out the important part.
“Fuck, you’re hot,” Dean manages and promptly blacks out.
This fic is aligned with my personal headcanon that Stanford Era!Dean would fall head over heels for the first soul to come along and show him the bare bones of compassion. Enter scene: Castiel.

Summary
All Castiel Novak wants to do is survive his surgical internship without falling into one of the endless pits of drama that his cohorts always seem to find themselves mixed up in. He’s doing a pretty good job of it, too, keeping his nose clean and focusing on the medicine, and he’s certain that if he sticks to it, he’ll be able to settle into his residency with ease and make his family proud.
That is, until a green-eyed, smooth-talking patient in need of a new heart shows up and throws a wrench into all his carefully laid plans.
Now, Castiel needs to find a way to both take care of Dean’s heart and figure out what his own is trying to tell him before their time together runs out.

Summary
When John died, Dean drove Sam to Bobby so his brother wouldn't end up in the system. Sam seems to dislike his decision, but Dean can't be sure: they aren't talking anymore, despite living in the same place.
Dean's trying to get used to this new life, but it's hard, especially with people bringing back John's memory every now and then. He wants to move on. Is it too much to ask?
