    jazzprowl enjoyers PLEASE enjoy this!! casual vacation of our favoritiest boysss <3 slow get-to-know-you sort of fic, but the fic itself is short. i very much enjoyed the subtle canon-feeling fuel & stasis interpretations. 8/10 because i want more of this & want to see them go on a date PLEAAAASE

    “I don’t know if I could escape again,” Grian confesses, and Mumbo says-

    “What if someone could find you?”

    “What?”

    Grian pulls away, and finally, this is something Mumbo can do with his hands. He leans back to look at him, eyebrows furrowing, and Mumbo rests his palms on Grian’s arms, holding him in place. “If you’re taken,” he says. “Would it be comforting to know that someone could find you?”

    Grian laughs, and it’s not a good one, either, but it’s measures better than the hysterical one he’d let out earlier. “Mumbo, what?” he asks again. “I- I appreciate it, I do, but compasses are server-wide. They can’t even handle the Nether.” It’s not quite snarked but said with just enough of an 'I thought you knew this' tone that at any other time, it would be a hit to Mumbo’s redstoning ego.

    “No, not a compass,” he dismisses. “You know, marriage. A spouse could find you anywhere. The whole… soul-bond thing.”

    Okay, so he’s a redstoner, not a scientist.

     

    Or: Grian has an issue. Mumbo proposes an... unconventional solution. There's no possible way marrying one another could go wrong.

    this is such a beautiful work of art. fandom aside, characters aside, this is gorgeous. the story, the language, the writing- it's all so well done. i have experienced love, & know how hard it is to describe. i feel personally touched by how hypno has written mumbo's understanding of love. it hits really close to home, honestly. it makes my heart hurt with him, in both a good & a bad way, which is often how love is anyway.

    WITH the fandom & characters in mind, this gets even more amazing! the character dynamics, especially, are my favorite. they're incredibly well written, with duos & trios that i don't see written very often! plus cleo appreciation?? it's been quite the treat to read! i also love the care put into the speech mannerisms of the various hermits. it is an unfortunate truth that, as an american, i have 0 clue what the appropriate number of "mate"s are in a conversation, & it ends up reading as forced. to be able to do that so well with so many different people? it's incredible. you're incredible, hypno, i hope you see this.

    i'm feeling a lot of emotions right now, ok?? this fic hit me in the feels hard.

    much love to the author & much encouragement to anyone who might want to read!!

    Izuku falls to his knees, gasping, struggling for air. He can vaguely register the shouting of his neighbors, the alien language coming out shrill and high pitched, even while muffled by Izuku’s own racing heart. His left hand is still holding the bars in a white-knuckled, throbbing grip, the fingernails on his right hand scratching at the metal floor below him.

    Cut off from humanity and forced to rely only on each other, Midoriya Izuku and Shinso Hitoshi have their work cut out for them. Midoriya is clever, intelligent, and a quick study. Shinso knows what it takes to survive with nothing but himself to rely on. Together, they are the perfect match to make it back home. Except for the fact that they happened to be kidnapped by alien pirates, and they have no knowledge of the worlds beyond their solar system. The universe is an unforgiving place, and, as they will soon learn, an extremely dangerous one as well.

    What will it take to make it home? What are they willing to sacrifice? And are they prepared to leave behind the friends they make along the way?

    i have been on this website for years. this is the most well-written my hero academia fanfiction i have read thus far. genuinely. not only is the main plot a very interesting concept, the RELATIONSHIPS are so gooooood....

    this author makes a point not to leave out even the most background of side characters, especially with class 1-a. there are clear relationships established & then further developed between almost all characters, which is an incredibly impressive feat

    then, there's GOOD REPRESENTATION for various neurodivergent things !!! not only is that representation well done, but it isn't blared in your face like in some fics. it's genuinely passive, good representation. FROM THE MAIN CHARACTER TOO. i love that

    & then the humor is fantastic. as if this couldn't get better. op, what class did you attend to learn this skill?? i am amazed by you & devestated that i've reached the (current) end
