At the tail end of their impromptu staring contest, Mihawk snaps his fingers and points to the foot of his chair. “Heel,” he says.
“What? Don’t treat me like a damn dog!” Zoro snaps.
“Act like a disobedient dog, be treated like a disobedient dog,” Mihawk replies, smooth and swift. Zoro’s ears and the back of his neck turn red. “When I talk to you, I expect prompt, clearly spoken, polite responses, not all this… barking.” He makes a vague gesture at Zoro. “Until I get that, however, I will be treating you how your behavior tells me you wish to be treated.”
Zoro crosses his arms and turns to face Mihawk again, face flushing when Mihawk just nods at his feet like he expects Zoro to sit there.
