Suddenly the countdown began, it was a minute before the New Year. Vi was in pure bliss, waiting for the fireworks to light up the sky to bring in the new year. She was looking forward to seeing how the lights would reflect off the water. That’s when something caught her eye. Vi turned her head to the left, gazing down the bridge. She was stunned, standing frozen in place and not able to take her eyes away.
Midnight blue hair that gently fell over her shoulders, cerulean eyes, and the most perfect smile that Vi had ever seen, even with that smile slightly blocked by a cupcake held up to this woman’s mouth. The woman was walking in Vi’s direction but hadn’t noticed her. She was mid conversation with another woman who was beside her, clinging to a taller man’s arm as they walked. This cerulean eyed woman was the most beautiful person Vi had ever seen. Vi only then realized the roar of the crowd around her.
“Five! Four! Three! Two!”
The woman was about to walk past Vi, her eyes never meeting hers. But something inside Vi snapped. She reached out, her fingers brushing the woman's arm. Their eyes met as Vi pulled her in, a split-second decision that felt both impulsive and inevitable.
“One!”

Summary
Vi Lanes is a deputy park ranger at Pike National Forest. Caitlyn Kiramman is a military veteran turned artist.
When Caitlyn's relationship with Denver Police Officer Maddie Nolen sours, Maddie snaps and Caitlyn suddenly finds herself a survivor of domestic violence (lightly mentioned). Caitlyn finds herself in need of an escape. Her mother, Cassandra Kiramman, is the Governor of Colorado, and has connections to the National Parks through her charitable foundation. When the opportunity presents itself for Caitlyn to become the Fire Lookout for Devil's Head Tower, she agrees. When Vi is asked to keep her company, it's only a matter of time before the two women feel a connection spark between them.

“What are you doing?” the woman asked, breath catching.
“Still being bold,” Vi said, her grin returning as her fingers closed around the woman’s hand. “And hoping you’ll remember tonight… in case it is just a passing moment and I don’t ever see you again.”
The woman opened her mouth, but no words came. Vi noticed the parts of her features not obstructed from the mask looked softer.
Vi leaned in slightly, close, but not yet touching. “Unless you don’t want to see each other again.”
The woman’s fingers flexed gently against Vi’s, holding her stare.
“I wouldn’t dream of that,” she said softly.

Vi and Cait meet at a masquerade, never learning each other's identities. But what happens when they meet again without the masks? Familiar details making them wonder, but them both convincing themselves it can’t be true.

Summary
All the walls come tumbling down. Jinx’s decision triggers catastrophic effects that leave Piltover reeling and Zaun on the brink of war. Vi is desperate to juggle all the broken pieces for Caitlyn and for Powder, but no matter how hard she tries, it’s not coming back together again.
Or: Jinx's attack on Council brings down the whole tower. Vi, Caitlyn, and Jinx struggle with the aftermath. Vi balances being there for Caitlyn and cleaning up some of her sister's mess with finding a way to save her sister. Meanwhile, interested parties from Topside and Bottom plot to take advantage of the situation.

Summary
Her relatively brief life had taught many things, good and bad. One of her first memories taught her that there were silences that could be deafening in their meaningfulness, in the weight they carried, in the importance of what was not being told but understood nonetheless. Today, Vi learned that even the loudest explosion, an event bound to be deafening in its thunderous cacophony of igniting black powder, roaring flames sparking to life and consuming everything in their wake, the shattering of glass in millions of tiny shining shards and the crumbling of carefully placed stones and tiles could actually be completely and utterly silent.
In the aftermath of Jinx's destruction of the Council tower, Caitlyn and Vi struggle to pick up the pieces and patch them together the best they can.
Changed the title because it sounded better.

With December approaching, Caitlyn is met with a whole new array of challenges, including her judgmental dog, her grieving father, and Vi, who for some reason, asks Caitlyn questions about herself and invites her out for hot apple cider.
Or... Caitlyn is half of a Wham! cover duo, and the overstimulation of it all leaves her exhausted and out of spoons.

What an amazing read it was !
I love how much love and appreciation the author put in their characters, to best described their feelings and let people understand how it can feel. Caitlyn is so well written and I love how supportive Vi is.
This story was very very sweet and I had the biggest smile and the end, this AU was inspired !

Yep. All a ruse, to disguise the simple fact that despite Vi’s aforementioned desperate pretending (and desperate attempts, believe her), she absolutely loves Valentine’s day. The kids would have her head for it, and her sister? Perish the thought. Of course, it makes it about a billion times worse that Vi actually has a crush this Valentine's.
Or; Vi and Caitlyn work as teachers at the same high school. Valentine's shenanigans ensue.
