Summary
Patty decided based on what little she’d seen of them that she trusted them. There were worse ways to treat your business partners, and Patty had the misfortune of being witness to those types. Nero seemed to be patient and kind enough. And Nico was drop dead gorgeous and smart as hell to boot.
She could use that. In a place like Devil May Cry, where no one really took care of themselves, Nero and Nico seemed like they would be on her side.
Plus, they were around her age. The importance of that literally could not be understated.
“You have to understand,” Patty said, crossing her arms and shifting her weight to one foot, “that first of all, Dante cares a lot about you, ok? Even if he doesn’t tell you about anything.”
“Sure,” Nero said, but his ears were visibly turning red in front of her.
“And secondly,” Patty continued, “I can really only tell you what I know, and what I know isn’t everything. Just what I’ve seen and the couple things I’ve been told, and what I’ve found out on my own.”
