    Leone Abbacchio is unfamiliar with tender love like Bruno's. He feels undeserving. What his mind and body craves in these highs and lows of his, he is not given. No wine to numb the mind. No rough handling to induce a pantomime of pleasure and care. He wondered how many hurt others felt the same yearning for mishandling. He had grown so comfortable with improper treatment that he craved it. Hands pulling hair, wrapping around throats, calling him all sorts of disgusting, desirable and vile things. For a little over a year this was what he referred to as ‘Anger Management’.

    Forced to pick his experiences apart one by one as though some invisible power held his mind captive, Abbacchio wonders just what went wrong until he remembers. And wishes he did not.
    And he sits and talks and wonders - days, weeks and months go by, and with them, conversations follow, the awareness of it all, nerve damage, bones slashed in half. Bruno was lucky, they say, but was he?
    Abbacchio knows what is about to come will be too much to handle. Wonders whether he is fit for a support figure for his lover, to help him carry the weight of the aftermath.
