The air is thick and humid. All together, breathing feels like drowning in the air. The sun is burning into your skin as you can feel droplets of sweat running down your back. The groceries in your hands feel unnaturally heavy, as you climb up the stairs to your designated destination.
Usually this would not have been a problem for you at all. Blaming it on the heat, you put your bags down to calm yourself. Placing your hands on your hips, you take a deep breath. “The hottest summer day in four years!” you recalled hearing earlier at the market. At that time you wrote it off as tit for tat.
You could slap yourself for that.
If you would have listened, you could have brought a hat. Or at least a hair tie.

Originally planned to finish the entire work before I tagged it, but honestly that will take too long and I'm impatient.
I suck at fighting scenes, but I pride myself on decent characterisation (I live on the JJK wiki). Expect rather in-character interactions + headcanons that make sense (I hope).

Born to the main branch of the Tensei Clan of Cursed Song users, she was expected to be a valuable heir.
Her loving parents (not quite outwardly loving) held powerful techniques, which she inherited.
Then it all went to shit.
From the ashes, a vengeful young lady™ rose.
That is, at least, how it should go. How it actually goes? Not sure.

The story of Y/N, orphaned as an infant and raised by Gandalf the Grey, the Wandering Wizard. However, she was never the wandered. She was the diplomat, sat in education rooms in Rivendell and only taken on occasion to neighboring kingdoms as Gandalf’s apprentice. She studied the best, the hardest, and the fastest she could to one day be entrusted going on her first adventure.
The day seemed to have arrived when on another boring day, she was sent a letter by her guardian to join in Hobbit Country, where she would accompany Dwarves on a quest to reclaim their homeland.
No one quite questioned her stance. A Hobbit; yes, but she was the apprentice of a (quote unquote) powerful wizard. All except one. Thorin Oakenshield, the company leader and rightful heir to the Throne Under the Mountain, was neither embarrassed nor quiet of his distaste for her join. Well, she wasn’t quite secretive of her feeling towards him as well, arguing with him every chance she got.
A tale of rivalry, hate, love, pride, and acceptance— Talk Refined is now remastered with longer chapters and more details.
