Summary
The NHL partners with an omega health organization for a safe-sex awareness campaign.
Shane—the league's most prominent omega player—is asked to participate in a filmed segment where a certified alpha health educator demonstrates on an anatomical dummy how to properly prepare an omega outside of heat. Professional. Clinical. Except the educator cancels last minute, and the only alpha already on set who has media clearance is Ilya Rozanov.
The demonstration involves lubricant, careful stretching, and detailed verbal narration of technique. Shane has to stand there and provide "the omega perspective." The dummy is silicone and clinical and shouldn't be erotic at all, but Ilya's hands are huge and deliberate and he keeps glancing at Shane while describing proper preparation.
Shane would rather take a slap shot to the face than admit what's happening below his waistline right now. Fuck.

Rozanov picked up Shane’s phone. He handed it to him wordlessly and then steadied his hands on the table. He was breathing a little hard, and he still looked panicked.
Shane glanced down at his phone. The university alert was his first notification.

Emergency: Armed, dangerous person on or near campus. Go inside now; avoid windows. alertmichigan.mich.edu”And then everything went black.

Something flickers across Rozanov’s face. His jaw twitches. “Yes, I know about Lily.” He raises his eyebrows.
Hayden feels like a complete asshole, all of a sudden. There’s just been too much going on to even think about Shane’s mystery girlfriend. “Shit, I should probably, like, call her, or something? I don’t know this girl at all, but Shane’s been obsessed with her for years. If she was watching the game, she would have seen him get hurt.”
“You don’t need to call her,” Rozanov says, and when Hayden glances at him, he still looks fucking miserable but now he’s rolling his eyes, a much more familiar expression of disdain on his face. “She’s sitting right here.”
