Well, it's all right even when push comes to shove
Well, it's all right if you got someone to love
Well, it's all right, everything'll work out fine
Well, it's all right, we're going to the end of the lineIt’s almost the last day on the job for Castellan Elim Garak. One or two loose threads to tie up and then he can retire home to his books and his garden and his doctors. Surely everything will work out fine?

Summary
Eight years after the Dominion War, Dr. Bashir—rather afflicted, unfortunately—is en route to Cardassia Prime. Meanwhile, Garak has re-established himself as a politician of note, and his methods may be the source of more than a little friction. Furthermore, Garak's comrade-in-arms from the Cardassian Rebellion, Kira Nerys, is seeking to define a correct path for the tumultuous planet of Bajor. Ezri Dax, conversely, is struggling with her role in the Federation. The O'Briens are the two people suffering the least, and let me be the first to say, good for them.
Features an absolutely staggering amount of politicking, as well as periodic descriptions of alien ecology. Definitely a ensemble fic. You liked Martok, I hope?

Summary
When he thinks of the child he was—(the child he was, but only technically, only in name, and even then only until he changed it from Jules to Julian)—he considers that boy with a mixture of pity, affection, and disdain.
At ten years old, he finds stories of stolen children swapped with other creatures and taken somewhere they would never be seen again. The fairies stay, of course, live the lives the children might have and no one else is any the wiser. As far as Julian is concerned they’re parasites, no less than a tapeworm or a tick or Tarkalean flea, feeding off someone else’s life in a way it has no right to do.
A character study.

Summary
Fourteen years after the end of the Dominion War, Bajor and Cardassia are finally poised to enter the United Federation of Planets, together. But when Castellan Garak and Military Minister Kira find the body of Julian Bashir—with a heavily encrypted datarod containing the last fifty years of covert operations by Section 31 in his hand—on the eve of the treaty signing on Deep Space Nine, negotiations fall apart.
There is some nuance to it, of course, but what is nuance when your friend’s dead body has been found in a stasis container in Cargo Bay Four?
Or, Julian dies in the name of service to the Alpha Quadrant, but does a poor job staying dead. It does get his friends back together in one place, though.

Summary
He shouldn’t really be expected to provide enrichment for captive Augments, but here he is doing it anyway and it’s probably all they’re ever going to get.
There but for the grace of God, indeed.
