ManMech was a Vtuber whose main gimmick was acting as a dorkish Mechaman impersonator. Its a known joke within his community that he's well overdue to be sued by the hero's lawyers for his burlesque parody.
Robert is just hoping that nobody makes the connection-- that they're actually the same person.

Summary
The Mechaman suit, with the Astral Pulse by extension, was always conscious. It's just been sitting dormant, content at recording and collecting data from it's pilots silently as a passive tool.
But by the third generation of its pilots... it foresees that pilot Blue will not last long alone, and it doesn't like that.
Or: The suit is 'alive'. There's some bullshit allegory here somewhere about keeping control, but Robert's more focused on being a protector and not letting the machine overtake his job.

Summary
A fight with a reality bender and an overloaded Astral Pulse lands Robert and his Mechaman suit into a different universe altogether, one where his dad never died and Mechaman Astral was still in active duty.
It should be a kinder universe with one less tragedy, but it's not. Not when this universe's Robert had died young instead.

Summary
Mech Man Blue was a hero. He was helping people, doing his best to be good and do good. But being 'good' has a line that Robert crosses. Abandoned by the city and the people he protected, Robert ends up in the same prison as his father's murderer. The man who leaves the system is not the same one who entered.
Upon release, he no longer believes in clean lines between good and bad, thought of redemption long abandoned. He has to navigate a complicated relationship with Elliot Connors, and infiltrate the SDN to retrieve their stolen data. His growing affections for the team of misfits, especially one of them, bring complications to the calculations.

Robert Robertson cannot die. When a bullet enters his frontal lobe and exits through his occipital, it takes roughly twenty-eight minutes for him to wake up in a puddle of his own blood—the team in hysterics.
Funnily enough, the chromosome mutation that means he cannot feel pain, fatigue, hunger, or fear is a genetic issue entirely unrelated to the generation-skipping powers.

Slowly, Robert stands up. He’s shivering. He looks sick. His eyes are glassy, and Invisigal blinks. He hadn’t looked like that just a few moments ago. What the hell is he coming down with that it’s hitting him so hard and fast? . The door to his cell is unlocked. He doesn’t fight when he is roughly grabbed and shoved into the hallway. Robert looks over at Invisigal.
“Please,” he mumbles. He’s hunching forward, like he’s going to start trying to crawl out of his own skin. A million alarms are going off in Invisigal’s head, but there’s nothing she can do about them, “Whatever happens, stay in the cells.”
