Summary
Life in Camelot has been hard after Morgana's betrayal, but when new snow covers the fields and the castle halls get a little too stuffy, Merlin convinces Arthur to go on a trip to unwind in the wintry beauty. Little does he know that since it's the Winter Solstice, his magic is significantly weakened, leaving him with no protection when bandits attack them. Worse, a snowstorm arrives, cutting them away from Camelot and any proper medical equipment.
Now, it is up to Arthur and the knights to save Merlin and make sure he stays warm.

Summary
The Prince, despite his best efforts, could not stop his hand from shaking as he held his sword to Merlin’s- no, not Merlin’s- pulse. The boy tried to crawl backwards a bit, away from the sharp edge, but Arthur just moved forward with him. The sword trembled with adrenaline against the sorcerer’s pale skin. Arthur couldn’t help but notice the boy’s ruddy cheeks, bright red from the cold and exertion. The snow made light dance in his tear tracks. The neckerchief that Merlin commonly wore was discarded on the snow; It must have fallen during the fight. It left his smooth neck exposed to the cold, riddled with goosebumps, and unmarred save for the blood-soaked steel, pressing in on his pulse point. Arthur could not deny that the… thing wearing Merlin’s face was beautiful.
Merlin is forced to reveal his powers during an attack. Chaos and angst ensue. I feel like most people give Arthur too much credit in magic reveals.

Summary
As Arthur takes a careful step forward, sword drawn, the dragon draws its head closer to its body. Its eyes are flitting around restlessly, shifting from one Knight to another — from one sword or lance to the other. It shies away from him, tries to take a few steps back, but it hits a wall of trees and shrubs and is forced to stop.
“Stand your ground,” Arthur commands, not once taking his eyes off the dragon. He moves in even closer, goading the creature into attacking him. He can hear Leon restlessly moving from one foot to another, ready to jump in at the first sign that something is about to go wrong, but he needs not worry. This isn’t the first time Arthur’s faced off against a dragon, and he has no intention of it being his last.

It was panic that drove him from the castle wearing nothing more than a torn tunic and a stained pair of trousers; that, and pain. There isn’t a part of him that doesn’t hurt in some way, that isn’t covered by blood, or bruised black and blue. With every step, agony shoots up his spine and more than once, he has to slow down to catch his breath.
He can’t go back now. He can’t. Every time he closes his eyes, he sees Agravaine’s body lying against the wall, blood trickling from his cracked skull to pool beneath his head. Merlin can never go back after what happened.
Arthur will never forgive him.
