Summary
The first time I realised ghost stories didn't scare me anymore was when I was midway through walking through a pit of screaming people. Their cries felt distant, as if I was simply within a daydream of someone else’s making - watching myself calmly trample over them, evoking blood-curdling shrieks every time I crushed a hand or two. Sinking them deeper into the mass of flesh.
My only thought was:
‘Huh. So is this what those lunatics felt while I was fighting the urge to double over and vomit?”
Or: in a world where Kim Soleum returns to Daydream Inc. and has his points reset after he was entangled in Braun’s Late Night Talk Show for a month, he feels like he will be trapped there for as long as he lives.
