Summary
Harry hates his fame, it's so much more than he feels is fair, and can't die. Severus gave his all in secret and died before he could be fairly rewarded or praised.
OrMaster of Death Harry accidentally asks Death to help fix his depression.
"Hello, mum."
"You've been suffering, Harry," the soul of the late Lilly Jean Potter said gently.
"I don't want this," Harry said. "I didn't want to be special when I was a kid, and I don't want this now."
"That doesn't change what is," mum said. "You are the Master of Death. If you die, you only lose the ability to hide from Death among the living," there was a bit of censure under the gentle words.
"Immortality sucks," Harry spat out. "None of this is fair."
"Life isn't fair," she said, but Harry could swear a male voice echoed behind her. Perhaps it was just his own memories.
When the nightmare came, he didn't run this time. He stood in the void and let the cloying cold and damp envelop him. The cold mist surrounded him and passed over him, but the damp retreated to a respectable distance. There was a presence, an ancient darkness, just out of sight but obviously there. -

Summary
Harry Begins his fifth year at Hogwarts and his apprenticeship with Professor Snape.
"Thank you, Professor Umbridge, for that illuminating speech. As I said before, we have two and a half changes to the staff, and we are pleased to announce an assistant has been added to our staff. Professor Snape, as it is only fair after letting Professor Umbridge speak, and given the popular demand expressed earlier, would you like to make the formal introduction yourself?"
"I, Severus Tobias Snape, Master of Potions bronze level in good standing with the potioneer’s guild, Master of the Dark Arts fully registered and licensed to operate in all territories under the ICW, junior mediwizard, have taken as my apprentice Lord Harry James Potter, to guide in life and magic and work to further magical advancement," the announcement was met with gasps and chatter, but accompanied by much more enthusiastic applause than what Umbridge had received. Malfoy's jaw was hanging open, Zabini looked pale, Ron and Hermione were applauding loudly while the twins sang 'for he's a jolly good fellow.' At the Ravenclaw table, Boot was turning this way and that excitedly while Mandy was laughing through her applause.

Summary
Part 2 of an ongoing series of short(ish) stories set in a universe where Harry reacts very differently to the Dementor attack in August 1995. Harry returns to England in time for his 5th year and everyone reorients now that the Horcrux in Harry is gone and he is a much more active force in his own life. Takes Harry form Paris to Hogwarts. Needs the previous story to make sense.
“You don’t have the faintest fucking idea what my mum’s spell was doing if you think it was killing that thing Tom left in my head.”
“Harry my boy, this is a private…”
“Get fucked, it’s a conversation about me and my choices so I’m making a personal goddamn appearance in it. You are supposed to give sick kids medical attention, not ignore them as they struggle to live with constant pain and misery until they self-destruct. Seems to me you are a bit confused about how that works, so maybe you should take a trip to Paris to get your own head shrunk.” None of the adults in the room were prepared for that level of hostility, and now Potter had worked up a full head of steam before they could get a word in.Series

Summary
"Spite" is apparently not the conventional answer to the question "how did you two get together?" or "how do you make this relationship work?", but it's exactly the motivation that gets Tobirama and Madara together, and keeps them that way.
or:
Madara and Tobirama get into a fake relationship to avoid their Elders pestering them. Everyone decides to let them know this is a terrible idea that will end in disaster.
Obviously, that sounds like a challenge - and they're not going to lose. -

Summary
He can see ghosts, which means he still has family. Still has Shisui, and all the aunts and uncles and cousins and distant relatives he didn’t even know before. Still has mother, her kind smile and her knowledge. Still has father, as well, although Fugaku stays distant most days, wallowing in regrets and things that make the air around him terribly cold.
Sasuke is glad, selfishly, for that small mercy.
He could have lived without the ghost drama, though....
Or: the one where Sasuke can see ghosts, and things aren't as bad as they could be.
