This is the story exploring the three guys' — Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak's — life and ups and downs of it.
Family fluffiness, friendship, health difficulties, cupcakes, deep thoughts, angst, therapies, suppositories, strawberries and social awkwardness in the offering.
Fluff and angst alternate and sometimes occur at the same time, just like in real life.
The story splits into arcs. First and second arc are ready, third arc in making.
First arc, "Caregiver": stories 1—16
Second arc, "Sam Meets World": stories 17—40

Summary
This collection is my one-person attempt to increase the diversity of how John Winchester is seen in the fandom. (Set your goals high, right?)
I'm a sort of a fan of the guy and a little sad that there are a majority of stories in the fandom that see the character of John Winchester a drunk, violent, abusive drill sergeant. I don't.
I'm not saying his character is not that in the slightest or that he's all flawless, actually he's quite far from it. But to me, he's not all about that and not a bad person through and through either.
The stories of this collection have born out of this sentiment. The stories are different lengths, and they take place in different settings: some are codas, some episode fix-its, some are my own takes in the series universe and some are AU. The stories are all read-alones.
However, every story has Winchester brothers and their father as main characters.

Bobby shrugged, nursing his Irish coffee. “Kindness is one thing, nothing undignified about it, you’re right about that. I just wonder if we’ve gone beyond kindness and reached coddling.”
“Poor guy can hardly function.” Dean shot Bobby a glare, “He just needs help.” he clenched his jaw shut, refusing to argue further, for Sam’s sake. Angry voices would only frighten him.
“John was plenty of foul things,” Bobby’s solemn voice continued, “but he was nowhere near as bad as my horse shit father, so maybe I wouldn’t know the difference myself.”
Dean was not sure how to reply, so he didn’t.

Sam had been tortured beyond what humanity was capable of comprehending. If he needed to be nurtured by his elder brother - or coddled as Bobby puts it - then so be it. He deserved a gentle hand after what he’d been through.
