A split second decision changed the course of Gregory’s whole night. What if, instead of hiding in Freddy’s chest cavity, he nooked himself into the far corner of Roxanne Wolf’s room, hoping for refuge in a more private area of the pizzaplex? Roxy must somehow hide the kid from whatever lurks in the shadows, figure out what is happening to her friends, and deal with this damn kid’s constant back talk. Can she do it? She sure as hell doesn’t think so.

"I'm not going out there with her. Please don't make me." Roxanne felt a pang of guilt as she saw his eyes widened in fear.
She couldn't just let him stay here, if someone found out Vanessa would have her be decommissioned for sure. Something always felt off about that woman, Roxanne had seen the way she sometimes snuck around the area. Hell, she didn't blame the kid for not wanting to be near the officer. Vanessa always had a scowl on her face and looked as if she hadn't slept in days. Not entirely a welcoming sight.
"Alright kid. I can't leave you here," she said and she saw the boy's face drop, disappointed. "But, I won't make you go with anyone you don't want to. Come with me and I'll take you to the main entrance myself, you'll be safe with me." His face lit up.
