“Harry?” Tom immediately took a step back. Of all the things he was expecting to see on his patrol as a prefect tonight, this was the last thing on his mind. Harry was in his sleeping robes. In silk. In red. And Tom could make out things that he supposedly shouldn’t. “Where are your chaperones?”
The omega had the gall to look embarrassed. “I… they’re asleep, I was hungry.” He said sheepishly.
Without another word, Tom turned to leave. If he left now, then he could still control himself, because what that red silk did to him—
“Tom?” Harry said softly. Harry’s eyes were wide and there was a soft honest smile on his face. “It–It’s fine if it’s with you.”
His eyes widened and his voice was cold even to his own ears. “That’s not for you to decide.”
Because it wasn’t.

As Harry looks at Tom, the alpha suddenly turns his head and meets Harry’s eyes. Harry is surprised, but he doesn’t look away. Instead he smirks, flips his hair, and turns around to walk away as if Tom was not, in any way at all, interesting enough for him.

Tom flashed him a smile, and said, “That won’t work on me.”
And he saw the omega drop all his pretenses, red not from blushing but from anger, and pointed at Tom with all the force of a 5’3 omega. “And that,” he said looking at Tom’s charming smile scathingly. “Won’t work on me."
