The boy squeaked again before clearing their throat. “I - This one’s alright, Shixiong.”
Shixiong? What kind of child says shit like that? By the look of it, they had to be a junior secondary student. Somewhere between a seventh or eighth grader. Was this Bun from the drama club? That would explain why they were still at school this late. And now that he looked a little closer, the kid’s ‘dress’ looked much more like the underlining of a traditional costume.

“This lowly one is Luo Binghe.” He said as if bracing himself for something.Shen Yuan tilted his head a little. What was with the weird name? Was that a character from his club or something? Maybe his parents were just really into puns? Not that Shen Yuan could ask. How rude would it be to ask someone why they were named Icy River?

It all made perfect sense now! The irritable attitude. The blanket cocoons and the cushion hugging. Lance even remembers Keith eating more helpings then usual at mealtimes. All classic signs of an Omega in preheat. It’s no wonder no one could figure it out before Lance since no one but Lance was an Omega. Omegas tend to have a greater sense than Alphas and Betas for these kinds of things. It’s theorized that Omegas gained this sixth sense as a way to both avoid rutting Alphas or protect fellow Omegas from intrusions or worse. Lance would have got it sooner, but he’s never seen Keith in preheat before. Since every Omega smells different, preheats also differ from Omega to Omega.
When Lance goes to comment on this new realization, he looks up to find Keith staring at him in complete horror.

When the dark finally receded, he came awake to a deep voice panicking.
“A fucking Human! They fucking gave me a Human!” The voice scream-muttered to themselves. Mostly repeating this same sentence over and over again. They sounded close to hyperventilating. “Why the Hell would they give me a living person? They don’t even give me living animals!”
An hour ago he was thrown from a ship as some kind of fucked up sacrifice for safe travels, and now he was in a fucking box that could only be a jail cell.

Ah. The Asshole Dog is loose again. Lan Zhan knows that it is not the dog’s fault for being an asshole, but The Asshole Dog is the reason Lan Zhan had a fence put in at a significant personal expense, because the alternative was allowing his garden to be destroyed and for Bunny to be menaced on her leashed outdoor adventures. Unacceptable. The Most Beautiful Man in the World cringes at the barking, scooting further away from the door through a sea of a dozen broken eggs and leaving a yolky trail in his wake.
“Fuck,” he whimpers, curling into a ball, both hands wrapped around the back of his neck as if to—as if to protect himself, Lan Zhan realizes. “Fuck, fuck, fuck, please—” The Most Beautiful Man in the World begs, voice ragged. He’s definitely hyperventilating now, from what Lan Zhan can tell between the audible sobs. There’s another bark from outside, and The Most Beautiful Man in the World flinches bodily, making a terrified sound that Lan Zhan feels behind his ribs.
Or: A meet ugly, a dog, and the beginning of something wonderful.

It's his reflection. Lan Wangji can look at it for as long as he wants. It's just boring to do so. Who really likes staring at their reflection, anyway? It's normal to finish your mirror-related tasks as quickly as possible and then move on.
Lan Wangji attempts to move on, and the itch under his skin climbs all the way up into his skull to attack his brain. He watches his reflection as his posture shifts, his shoulders softening and curling in slightly, one of his hips cocking to add a curve to his spine. He lets his hand settle lightly on his hip, drawing more attention to the curve, and twists his torso so there's more of a contrast between the indent of his waist and the sway of his hip, tipping his head so his hair drapes further down over his shoulder. He meets his own eyes and for just an instant he sees someone else, someone softer, someone prettier—
Heart hammering, Lan Wangji rips himself away from the mirror and towels off his hair with shaking hands.
Or: Lan Zhan learns how to be happy.

When Shen Yuan first transmigrated to the world of Proud Immortal Demon Way, he had been under the impression he’d been taken against his will to a world of giants.
Do people not look down?! He mentally screamed while skittering back from uncaring, trampling feet. It was then he noticed something was wrong with the actual shape of his body. Where hands should be were two paper white paws, and looking behind him were two equally white and matching limbs. From there he could see a flickering tail and he had no other choice but to run to the nearest puddle to confirm (Unconfirm!! Very much unconfirm!!!!!) his dawning horror.
There, from a foul smelling and oily looking puddle next to what seemed like a food cart, did Shen Yuan come to understand just who, or rather what, he had become.

The Doctor sighed, wistfully remembering that very first trip out with Rose. She’d been flabbergasted at the mere concept of universal roaming, and the Doctor couldn’t help but smile as he recalled the delighted wonder in her tone. She could comprehend the sentient, telepathic time-and-space ship, but somehow the concept of advanced technical jiggery pokery baffled her--as if there were anywhere in the world he couldn’t get a silly little signal to.
Perhaps he should’ve considered something similar for Amy, prodded her to call Rory or something. Of course, he couldn’t have known they’d end up engaged, in his defense. And picking him up was just inherently better, wasn’t it? No need to upgrade the cell phones just yet--well, it could never hurt, just because one of them wasn’t stuck on Earth didn’t mean they wouldn’t need to call every once in a while--

Watching them grow together and never lose what made them Rose and the Doctor was beautiful. It was a treat to see Eleven showcase a side of him that was Rose’s Doctor but still wholly Eleven. I loved Tentoo and the Doctors conversations so much. This story was closure in a lot of ways.
