Mydei huffs, what kind of foolish logic is that? Still, it sounds interesting, almost fun, and Mydei never says no to a battle of wits or might.
“You’re a strange man,” he simply says. “But alright, if I win, you promise to confess, honestly, to whichever girl you’re interested in. Whatever answer she gives you will accept without protest and then stop disturbing the cheerleading squad.”
Phainon draws himself to his full height so they are standing eye to eye, his blue eyes glittering with determination and delight.
“Fine. But if I win, you have to wear the girl’s cheerleading uniform.”Star quarterback Phainon is pining over a mysterious hottie on the cheerleading squad, whose identity he refuses to reveal. Summary
When Loki left Earth in chains following the Battle of New York, Tony and the Avengers had thought (hoped, really) that that was the last they'd ever see of the Chaos god.
But Tony Stark wouldn't be Tony Stark if his curiosity and his attempts at doing the Right Thing™ did not end up biting him in the ass.
And now, only seven months after leaving, Loki is very pissed off and back on Earth. Only, this time, with Odin's blessing and the clear demand that Loki should marry a form of Earth Royalty to 'strengthen the alliance between Earth and Asgard' (yeah, right. Tony recognised a time out when he saw one).
Every government in the world puts forward their royals - or the closest things they have to royalty - because of course who wouldn't want the special benefits of having such a powerful alien race as their in laws?
The US does not have royalty.
But they do have Tony Stark.
(He was never doing a Right Thing™ for anyone ever again)

“Luke?” The goddess says, worried. Luke almost swoons, his eyes softening as he continues to stare at this beauty. His name sounds so right on her tongue. “Say somethi—”
“You’re pretty.”
The gorgeous woman stops, eyes widening in shock.
“You’re so pretty,” Luke repeats, the words escaping him faster than he could think to stop himself. But honestly, it would be disrespectful if he doesn’t say anything, so maybe he should keep complimenting the deity in front of him. “Are you a model?”
“You broke him,” someone else sarcastically says from somewhere in the room, but Luke doesn’t look to see who it is. He doesn’t want to look away from his goddess. “Way to go, Marius.”
Or: Luke gets hit badly on the head during a mission and wakes up with temporary amnesia. He immediately falls in love with Fem!Marius who is—engaged?! Luke should fight her fiancé.

Summary
For a moment, Luke doesn’t argue any further. Marius closes the distance and presses their lips together in a kiss. Luke’s hand on Marius’ waist tightens, but he kisses Marius like he’s always been doing—gentle, adoring, pouring with the love they share. They stay in the kiss for as long as they can, knowing this will be the last chance they have before Luke will have to set sail on his journey.
When they break apart, Luke gives Marius a small smile. “Okay,” he says, his breath fanning Marius’ face. “I’ll go. I promise I’ll do everything so I can come home.”
And that was it.
Luke sailed the next day and Marius has been waiting for him ever since.
Or: Odyssey AU. Marius has to choose a suitor. He poses a challenge only one person can accomplish (at the same time his husband returned from his 20-year journey).
