Summary
The god of mischief and the god of thunder are bored. Three thousand or so years will do that to an Aesir. When Loki's favourite subject, the human condition, comes up, the two gods make a wager to prove which of them is right: Loki, who believes humanity is nothing more than a curse that leads to despair, or Thor, who believes there must be some reason he's stuck around Earth for so long.
Steve, the willing participant, agrees to Loki's conditions though he isn't really prepared for everything that entails.
