Summary
When Harry Potter's Hogwarts letter raises red flags for Severus Snape, he delivers the letter instead of letting Dumbledore handle it. Severus does not see a miniature James Potter when he encounters the scrawny child, drowning in clothes that don't fit and holding himself carefully away from his aunt like she might strike him at any moment. Severus is reminded only of himself.
Severus's choice to rescue Harry might damn him when Voldemort returns, or it might change everything.

Summary

Friends turned foes. Dumbledore wouldn’t spare him a look. Umbridge and her quill. There was a limit to how much Harry could handle - and when Severus cast him away, that limit broke. Harry went down a dangerous spiral, one full of burned bridges and loneliness.

Summary
Set during the summer after Harry's Fifth Year. The fifteen-year-old is struggling to cope with his godfather's recent death, ridden with guilt, shame, remorse, and much internal conflict, depression looming on the horizon. The Dursleys aren't helping things either. Things take a sudden twist for the worse when the Blood Wards around Privet Drive fall, rendering Harry unsafe. What's the solution? Dumbledore arranges for Harry to stay with his most hated person after Voldemort and Umbridge: Severus Snape. In isolation. For two weeks. It goes without saying that neither wizard is pleased, and their feelings of mutual hatred are much reciprocated. And with a ticking sleep-deprived Gryffindor time-bomb, that right there is a recipe for a dangerous concoction.
Angst, hurt/comfort, emphasis on psychology and character developement. Super slice-of-life kind of story where every chapter is one day of the two weeks our two favorite characters have to spend in isolation. And the chapters are LONG. Panic attacks, stress, anxiety all based off of personal experiences. Written in third-person omniscient. Heavy emphasis on internal conflict, feelings, emotions, and learning to cope with life's shit.

Her small pink heels clicked across the small living area, glancing over to the crowded kitchen, and then she swung back around to meet Elphaba’s gaze. She looked at her like she was awaiting instructions. Oh shit, Elphaba thought. She is.

Fiyero hires Elphaba a prostitute for her birthday without asking, and now an infuriated Elphaba has to figure out what to do once she gets there. The girl says her name is Glinda, and it turns out that Elphaba enjoys her presence a lot more than she thought she would.
