When Tsubaki tried to crush him in a hug after a job well done, Suo replaced himself with Nirei so fast no one even saw it happen.
As Nirei lay crumpled on the floor, soul leaving his body, Tsubaki laughed and said, “Guess I’ll keep my hands to myself, huh?”
So, the Furin boys adjusted accordingly. They’d let Suo initiate any touch he wanted. No sneaking up on him and no surprises unless it's a spar. They may be delinquents, but they’re damn good friends.

This was pretty much how all their conversations went—Haruka would grit his teeth as he tried to put his problems into words, and Kaji would consider them silently for a bit before answering. The silence had freaked Haruka out the first few times, but eventually he’d figured out that it was just Kaji’s way of processing.
