"You didn't hear, then?" The man released a delighted, incredulous laugh, unknowingly drawing attention from neighbouring tables. The din in the tavern quietened. The scrape of cutlery and squeak of bar stools ceased as heads tilted towards them and ears pricked curiously. "It's only the biggest scandal of King Uther's magic-hating reign."
Arthur's hand tightened around his drink, causing the wooden flagon to creak under his grip. He glared down at the sticky, chipped veneer of the table.
"Spit it out already," the man's companion urged.
His voice dropped into a faux whisper, the way gossip-mongers always sounded when revealing an especially succulent rumour. “Prince Arthur of Camelot is a sorcerer.”

Summary
“I don’t know if I could escape again,” Grian confesses, and Mumbo says-
“What if someone could find you?”
“What?”
Grian pulls away, and finally, this is something Mumbo can do with his hands. He leans back to look at him, eyebrows furrowing, and Mumbo rests his palms on Grian’s arms, holding him in place. “If you’re taken,” he says. “Would it be comforting to know that someone could find you?”
Grian laughs, and it’s not a good one, either, but it’s measures better than the hysterical one he’d let out earlier. “Mumbo, what?” he asks again. “I- I appreciate it, I do, but compasses are server-wide. They can’t even handle the Nether.” It’s not quite snarked but said with just enough of an 'I thought you knew this' tone that at any other time, it would be a hit to Mumbo’s redstoning ego.
“No, not a compass,” he dismisses. “You know, marriage. A spouse could find you anywhere. The whole… soul-bond thing.”
Okay, so he’s a redstoner, not a scientist.
Or: Grian has an issue. Mumbo proposes an... unconventional solution. There's no possible way marrying one another could go wrong.

Summary
Stede's a middle-aged businessman going through a divorce, and he desperately needs a drink. He ends up at Blackbeard's: a charming little bar (that's technically not a gay bar but kind of is a gay bar) with nautical décor, classic rock, excellent cocktails, and a very pretty bartender who wears crop tops and leather.
Soon Stede becomes a regular, and obviously he just likes going there because the cocktails are great.
Definitely no other reason.

Summary
Salvage diver Ed Teach is no stranger to the story of Blackbeard and the Queen Anne's Revenge- after all, the famous pirate is a distant ancestor. But then Professor Stede Bonnet, maritime archaeologist and many-times-great-grandson of the original, waltzes through the door of his shop and requests his services in finding the wreck. What are the odds?
Ed's had enough of the cutthroat world of salvage diving, and he's this close to leaving it all behind. But Bonnet's quest sparks an interest he hasn't felt in years, and he agrees to help the oddly charming man. Nothing to do with the fact that the Queen Anne might just be the last treasure trove Ed needs to escape his life. Definitely nothing to do with the way Bonnet's cheerful enthusiasm makes his heart skip a beat.
Together they'll hunt for the wreck... and then they'll reckon with what comes next.
