Amadeo is different. Different than the other boys certainly, half mute and half insane. And different in what he represented, a palazzo boy for all of three days who spent his days gawking at the wonders of a hand held clock and his nights in the masters private bedchambers. The chambers that before Amadeo, no one had ever been permitted to enter.
As the eldest of the palazzo boys, it’s Riccardo’s responsibility to look after Amadeo, half mute and half insane as he is. And as the eldest of the palazzo boys, Riccardo finds his life and his mind shaken by the change in both his security and his perception of his livelihood that Amadeo embodies. Despite it all, he is able to find his closest friend, and his dearest brother in this change

Summary
Annoying, how hot it is to see Armand kneeling on the dirty bathroom floor like this. Without her heels to compensate for their height difference she looks small, delicate. Her face is on the level with Daniel’s hips and Daniel knows what’s about to happen. Armand has probably been planning for this since they stepped into the store, she realizes. There’s no way she’d catch Daniel bleeding for the first time and let that go.

Summary
“If there’s something else you’d prefer to happen you need only say it,” Armand said carefully. “I might allow you to do it if you ask. Certainly I wouldn’t laugh at whatever it is.”
Armand watched the characters speak silently on the tv, their words drowned out by the music and the sound of other patrons. He tapped his fingers on the bar and imagined to himself what they might say. Ignored the steady throb of Daniel’s pulse as he screwed up his courage and then-
“Sometimes I just get curious about what it’s like to be you, that’s all,” Daniel said suddenly.
In which Armand and Daniel trade places for the night and Armand gets more than he bargained for.
