"I know," Castiel murmurs, still just smiling a little, not looking heartbroken at all. "Don't worry about it, Dean, that's all I ask."
"So we're—" Dean risks a glance up, swallowing thickly. "We're good?"

“I should tell you that I missed on purpose, last night," Cuteguy says, his handgun aimed right between Scar's eyes.
Something about his face — the part Scar can see, anyway — is vaguely familiar. His nose and below are covered by a black mask. There are big, nearly rose-tinted sunglasses shoved up into his hair, which is a little bit brown but not quite all the way there. He's very pretty.
"I figured," Scar says honestly.
OR
By day, Scar's a lawyer with little actual regard for the law. By night, he's Hotguy — Hermit City's one and only vigilante hero. Just when things are finally getting interesting in the office, a new mysterious new criminal appears in the city. Scar is distracted enough that he hardly notices the conspiracy unfolding all around him.

There is a beat of silence, and Scar wonders if he took long enough to respond that Grian has moved to another dead-zone where their radios can’t reach each other. And then, Grian speaks again.
“I-I’m not gonna make it out of this one.”

Summary
With what feels like dread at the back of his throat, Scar watches the rope around them disappear, right as the feeling of an unknown power crawls under his skin. The vigilante snarls. "What did you do?"
It's exactly when Cuteguy untangles himself from Scar that the problem arises. It starts off as a dizziness, so powerful his head swims. But then, the feeling of being seasick transforms into something sharp, a pure blade of pain sliding under his ribcage. Whatever it is that's been done to them, it hurts, and a blurry look at Cuteguy hissing at his side tells him he's not the only one suffering this fate.
As if set off by a forgotten instinct, his hand shoots out to grab the vigilante's, and the throbbing pain against his ribs eases off. Sharing a horrified look, they turn in unison to the villain, who's been laughing at them the whole time. Scar's not the type to swear excessively, but the situation might deserve a resounding Fuck.
They're stuck.
Being hit by a power forcing them to share skin contact for 12 hours should be the ideal situation to help Hotguy's crush on the pink vigilante, right? Such a shame Cuteguy's in love with someone else.

“There we go.” Scar panted, crouching down next to Cuteguy’s crumpled form. “I’ve been chasing you for ages! To be honest, I didn’t think I’d catch you, normally you’re a lot faster than that. Are you okay?”
Cuteguy didn’t move.
“Uhh…Cuteguy?” Scar nudged her lightly with his fist. “Is this a trick? Because I’ll have you know I am not falling for it.”
Cuteguy still didn’t move.
“Hello?” Scar scooted around to the front of him, where his face was planted into the sidewalk. “It wasn’t that bad of a fall, was it?”
Then Cuteguy…chirped. Like a bird. That was the best way to describe the sound muffled by the pavement. Scar blinked in surprise, then hesitantly reached out and lifted the vigilante’s chin so that he could see her face.

“Scar’s approaching from the left, by the way,” Mumbo said, and Grian’s stomach flipped, crushed-glass nerves cutting into his insides. He’d been used to struggling to avoid Hawkeye, who popped up whenever Grian least wanted to see him and had always been stupidly hard to shake off, worse once they got to know each other’s patterns, but when it came to Scar– well, but of course Scar would be the same way–
“You can see him under the exit sign,” Mumbo elaborated, stiffening with concern as Grian stood up, “and oh, hang on, you are not actually leaving me. I thought you said whatever it is wasn’t a big deal!”
“It’s not,” Grian lied. He stood up and gathered his papers in their complementary folder, smooth and calm and definitely not fighting a lump in his throat.

Summary
Grian shushed Hotguy sharply when he groaned, so of course that was when he stiffened and tried to get away, even though the guards didn’t change shifts for another ten minutes and some of them were headed towards their hallway. Grian elbowed him lightly in the gut, more of a reminder elbowing if you asked Grian, and Hotguy elbowed him back hard.
Not hard enough to wind him, though, so that could mean something. Grian hoped it meant Hotguy recognized him as an ally or was biding his time, because the alternative was that Hotguy wasn’t strong enough to escape the grip of a poor little freelancer who spent his spare time gazing into space, and that would be a rubbish situation for both of them.

Eventually (as if either hesitating or just making him wait out of spite) the door opens, revealing Shen Qingqiu. He stands behind the threshold of his door, glaring down at Yue Qingyuan. There are at least three feet between them.
“What,” he says flatly.
“Hello, Qingqiu-shidi,” Yue Qingyuan says mildly, and makes sure to smile. No teeth in it, no loudness or abruptness - nothing threatening.

Angie only realises she’s moved when her fingers are closing around the cool skin of Tenko’s wrist; she stops her, then stops herself with a faint gasp and flinches back. Tenko’s stark green eyes are already on her again, wide and vulnerable, her lips parted.
“A-Angie—” Angie tries, but her voice comes out halting. She bites down on her lower lip and sits back in bed, hugs her knees to her chest. “...Angie is sorry. She didn’t mean to do that.”
“You want me to stay?” Tenko asks, softly, discarding her usual pronoun. It makes her sound more mature, accordingly. Angie could stand to replicate the speaking style, but it just comes so naturally to her these days to speak how she did in the simulation. Perhaps that’s part of why everyone avoids her so staunchly; she can’t bring herself to turn her back on the bastardised version of a deity that Team Danganronpa cruelly implanted in her mind.
Angie shrugs. Tenko stares at her, then drops her gaze. She carefully sits down on the seat at Angie’s bedside, and her hands go to clasp between her knees.
