“You sure are some doctor, Lady Moonchanter. Is this part of your treatment?” Nefer’s voice has risen an octave, carrying the weight of how embarrassing it feels to be so out of control; starkly naked in comparison to Lauma who has only shed the rings from her fingers.
“I am no doctor, Nefer.” Lauma doesn't mind the accusation toward her professionalism, in fact, she welcomes it with the charming chime of a little chuckle. “But you could consider it treatment.”
Nefer, to no one’s surprise, still tries to hold the weight of the world on her shoulders even when Lauma has strictly told her to take it easy while her eyes heal. Her inability to listen causes Jahoda to request Lauma for one of her routine check-ups; but Lauma has a more unorthodox way of approaching Nefer’s need to relax.

Nefer's eyes flicker open a fraction. The low light is more comfortable, but still, Lauma hears her wince.
"Do not push yourself."
Nefer groans and closes her eyes again. She leans forward, pushing her face into Lauma's shoulder. Her other hand taps around, up to Lauma's forearm, and Nefer sighs from the crooked embrace.
"I'm trying not to, but… having no control, laying here, doing nothing but ache and hear my stupid cat knock shit over all day…"
Lauma laughs and kisses the tip of Nefer's ear. "Stir crazy already?"
"Unfortunately," Nefer groans.
"Well, if you'd like to relax, I can help you with that. Would you like me to, my dear?"

“Speaking of your employees, where’s Ashru? He didn’t greet me today.” Lauma calls out Ashru’s name a couple times and waits for a response. Whatever she hears has her laughing.
“Ashru would like me to inform you that while he won’t refuse the new treats, he vastly prefer the old ones. Please place an order for him.”
Nefer rolls her eyes. “Please inform him that he can take what’s offered or find another place of employment. Perhaps he’ll be able to negotiate for the correct treats there.”
