Summary
The Third Succession War drags on. Mercenaries roam the galaxy selling their services to the highest bidder. For a MechWarrior, their only real family are their LanceMates and their only home is the cockpit of the gigantic war machines that dominate the Thirty First Century battlefield; the BattleMech. While nobles play their power games, mercenaries fight, profit, and die in their service. One of those MechWarrior, disgraced and banished, with only the clothes on his back and a BattleMech plies his trade with whoever offers the C-Bills.
Original Fiction set in the BattleTech universe.

Summary
Commander Shepard is dead. In his place, a man wakes up to a galaxy that's moved on without him. Forced to ally with the monstrous organisation Cerberus, the newley rekindled Shepard discovers he's a shadow of the hero he used to be.
Saddled with a suicide mission to stop the extinction of mankind, the commander is trapped between stopping a new and deadly enemy, and trying to piece himself back together.
Facing his most dangerous mission yet, Shepard quickly discovers that without something deeper than duty to his mission, he won't be coming back at all.
A Shepard/Tali novelisation of Mass Effect 2, with slight changes to the canon. This story will follow a man scarred by death. There will be fluff and fun to be had with the commander and his close friends, but ultimately this will be a tale of overcoming loss and grief.
