Adventuring… seeing the world…. It isn’t as fun as I thought it would be, Thoma thinks. He burrows his head deeper, like a baby chick in a nest, missing their mother’s soft warmth. He thinks he feels a sting in his eyes, shutting them tight.
“Hey… you’re the one I keep seeing around the house.” A young voice remarks, only a few feet away.
Thoma’s head flips up, not bothering to control his quivering lip. He catches sight of silver blue hair from the corner of his eye. It stretched just past his young master’s shoulders, leading into a spotless white and royal purple kimono. Thoma didn't think that anyone else came to the edges of the estate….

Summary
He re-emerges from the Outlander Affairs Agency with all the grace of a fish flopping onto the beach. The setting sun dips low behind the maple trees, orange light filtering through a patchwork of scarlet, and he thinks he would probably find it more beautiful if he hadn’t just spent the last three hours being interrogated like a criminal.
Thanks to an overenthusiastic wave, Thoma arrives in Inazuma facedown on a beach, with his passport having taken up residence at the bottom of the ocean. The Ritou border control officers are not pleased about that.
Or, Thoma's arrival in Inazuma through the lens of the immigrant experience.

Haruka closed his eyes again as he felt the woman thread her fingers through his hair.
His neck, back, and legs felt stiff. He stretched and yawned.
The caretaker clapped her hands cheerfully, “Look at you!” She cooed and ruffled his hair, “No more of that unusual hair of yours!”
She was clearly happy but when Haruka looked in the mirror that was in the bathroom, he couldn’t help but stare at the stranger in the reflection.
His hair was fully black.

Or: i take that one scene in the anime/manga where in Sakura’s memories one of the guys/adults angrily points at him and says, “How many times do I gotta tell you to dye your hair black!” and morph it into a fic of Sakura’s hair dyeing experience.

He tugged gently at Kaji’s sleeve again. The older boy turned, eyes curious.
Sakura hesitated, cheeks warming. “What flavor is it?”
Kaji raised an eyebrow.
“Your lollipop,” Sakura clarified quickly, gaze dropping to the ground. “I, uh… haven’t had one in a while.”
Kaji’s lips quirked, like he was fighting a smile.
He didn’t say anything. Instead, he pulled the lollipop from his mouth and, without hesitation, pressed it gently against Sakura’s lips.
