Summary
Dazai and Chuuya don't realize how intimate their friendship looks to outsiders until the day said outsiders force them to see it.

“Hirotsu told me I could find you in the vermin’s office, Chuuya, there are a few things I want you to do as part of your reading training, nothing too important of course.” She was smiling softly as she skimmed over the documents one last time before putting it on Dazai’s desk, not once looking up.
“You can bring them back to me tonight or tomorrow morning, no later than tha-”
That’s when she looked up, the youngest executive of the port mafia was sitting curled up on her proteges lap, head against his neck glaring fiercely at her as if she had personally insulted him, well maybe she did by calling him a vermin and all that, but she hadn’t expected to see Dazai in his office, he never spent any time there.“I’ll deliver them to you tonight while I hand in the idiot’s work to the boss, Kouyou.” He looked so serious and determined that she would have been proud, if it wasn’t for the fact that Chuuya seemed to be petting Dazai’s hair

Summary
Dazai stays rooted in place, the smiling mask freezing on his face; warily eyeing the way Chuuya seems to try and gather his own courage before speaking —which is not something he usually does, at all— and the way he so thoughtlessly invades his personal space —although that is, arguably, a much more common occurrence between the two members of Double Black.
“Dazai?” He needlessly calls, breath so hot and heavily saturated in alcohol it hits Dazai’s cheek like the warm summer breeze had near that distillery Mori sent them to reclaim from a rival organization last year.
“Yes, my drunk little Chuuya?” He can’t not tease —not if he wants to have a shot at hiding just how affected he is by this proximity to the intoxicating sight Chuuya makes right now.
