___“I’m sorry I thought you were mama,” Ilya quickly said on top of her words, still unwilling to meet her eye. So this was where the majority of the silence stemmed from, then. Shame. She immediately sat back down, plate forgotten. Even with his head angled downwards, she did not miss the red flush on his cheeks and chin.

Ilya's love drunk state combined with jetlag meant he was barely able to keep his eyes open, his mind drifting in and out of consciousness. Still his hands roamed, lazily gliding along Shane’s sides, mapping the planes that he had already committed to memory some 10 years ago. Though now there was something new- a softness.
Ilya’s fingers began to skim, ever so lightly dipping into his husband’s plush sides and over to his midsection. A thrill ran through his sleep-addled mind, and if he had been more conscious maybe he could have put his finger on it.
