He expects him to really be scared off now, the “pretty boy” covered in snot and tears and odd noises erupting from his throat. But instead, he just stares, fascinated.
“You´re really something, aren´t you?” he asks, quietly now, with something Dennis vaguely recognizes as earnest fondness. What a fucking idiot, he thinks, falling in love at first sight.
“I´m Dennis. Uh- Whitaker, and you?” he answers, looking up into the guy´s eyes for the first time. He looks enamoured, infatuated even.“Isaac Robinavitch-Abbot. Happy to make your acquaintance, Dennis! Would you like to go out for coffee sometime?”

I want to break up." he chokes out, his voice cracking as a sob erupts his throat. He tries to contain himself, not make him look more like the pathetic child he´s sure they already think he is. But he can´t stop the shakiness of his voice, the sadness in his eyes.
".... No."
It´s said with deliberation. Like it´s something Jack knows with absolute conviction to be true. There´s no doubt in his mind that Dennis won´t leave.
"What?" Dennis balks. He stares into Jack´s eyes, hoping to see that glint of humour the man gets when he´s joking.
It´s not there.
He´s completely serious.
