Summary
It is said by some that in Valinor, deep in the halls of Mandos among the deep dark places, are miles and miles of tapestries. The lives of the Eldar, inscribed in colored threads—their pasts, their presents, their futures. They hang silently upon the walls of long echoing hallways, only to be seen by those that wander there.
Sometimes, these glimpses are not entirely accurate. A work of art is never truly finished, a life even more so. A slight nudge, a slipped stitch, and the tapestry changes.

"Let him go!" Nightwing snarls through the com, voice raw and strained. Jason laughs. The modulator of his helmet crackles, and the sound of his laughter echoes cold and cruel. "Are you sure you want me to do that?"
During an unplanned and unsupervised encounter with the Red Hood, Tim takes an (also unplanned) dive off the side of a building. As Tim's life hangs by a thread, Red Hood taunts Batman and Nightwing, threatening to drop him. But does he really mean it? Because for someone threatening to let go, Jason's grip is awfully tight.

Summary
"Batman," Bruce's low and gravelly tone cuts in, and Jason braces against the wall in surprise for a moment, gloved hands scratching against the stone, "ETA 3 minutes."
Jason breathes in deeply, finally dislodging the gasp of air that had caught itself in his chest. He breaks out into a hurried and unbalanced sprint, ignoring the flaring pain that spreads across his entire body, hands trembling.
"Hey kid!" Jason calls out into the emptiness around him, throat strangely dry and hoarse, "I'm here to save you. Can you hear me?"
It's quiet. Jason's eyes are burning.
(Jason found it easier back when the only thing he could feel was anger.)

“Are you going to make me ask the obvious question?”
Dick taps his finger to his bottom lip. “I don’t know,” he says. “I’m feeling circuitous right now.”
“Congratulations on finally cracking open a dictionary,” Jason deadpans. “Why the fuck are you on my couch.”
“Well.” Dick says, in an ominously cheerful tone. Jason doesn’t bother to hide his groan. “I got a little bit shot.” As if he thinks Jason needs a visual demonstration, he pinches his fingers together. “Just a tiny bit.”
Coming from Dick, this could mean anything from I was within a mile of a bullet to there is a gaping hole in my chest. Jason considers this information.
“Dickard John Grayson,” he says, slowly. “Did you get blood on my couch?”

Dick and Jason are very normal people with a very normal sibling-ish relationship.
