Koby’s lips part. A name, one that tastes as sweet as freedom, and hopes and dreams, tumbles out before he can stop himself.

The fact of the matter is, Zoro’s hands are big and strong and warm, and Koby is cold and annoyed and stuck in a very compromising position. Zoro doesn’t look like he’s put together the potential yet, which is a good thing. The instant he does, Koby knows he’s doomed.

They make a series of questionable decisions in the process, but only Sanji ends up walking home in soaked clothes. Zoro is smug about this, at least until Sanji’s once-reliable legs start buckling beneath him and Zoro remembers exactly how bady untrained bodies take to frigid wintertime swims.
