“What about Peter?”
Паук had grinned, yeah, he would be Peter when he graduated. So, when Паук had come to Wade and told him that tomorrow was his special day, he hadn’t expected the anger in the man's eyes. He hadn’t expected the way his eyes grew void of that gentleness he usually had for Паук, replaced by something cold. Empty. He hadn’t ever seen Wade like that before. His smile had dropped, replaced by a frown on par with his Mama’s, and he had stood there for a long while, his hand gripping Паук’s shoulder tightly. Паук had stood still, breathing lightly and just…staring at Wade, at his face, one of the rare times it was uncovered. Then, Wade gave his shoulder a squeeze and knelt down, brushing his thumb over his cheek, looking at Паук sadly. His mama and Tony had been happy, and he thought Wade would be the most excited, but the way Wade was looking at him, it unsettled Паук. It was wrong, Wade wasn’t supposed to look like that, he had never looked like that before, and Паук didn’t like that look now.
“I’m sorry, hun.”
OR Peter Parker was raised as an assassin and finds a home. Eventually.

“Is Timberlina finally going to bed?” Jason asked from the doorway. Tim hadn’t even noticed he was there. “I don’t see why he wasn’t taken from the cave sooner.” Damian told him, “Honestly, he’s barely keeping himself upright.” Tim made a noise of protest because he was keeping himself upright just fine, thank you. Damian looked at him flatly, pointedly taking away the arm that Tim hadn’t even noticed was there, and causing Tim to fall back into the soft mattress. Jason snorted from the doorway, Tim scowled, but when that too was answered by Jason snorting, he guessed that he didn’t look as upset as he thought he did. “Not fair,” Tim told them, but it was slightly slurred because of his exhaustion, “you’re awake.” Damian adjusted him so that his head was on a pillow, bringing up a blanket to tuck under his chin, “Yes,” he answered flatly, “but we also took naps earlier today.” They so didn’t, Tim was being lied to, said lie, unfortunately, placated him enough to close his eyes. The hand running through his hair might have had something to do with it, too.

He’d tried everything he could think of to get Bruce and Alfred’s attention since he became a ghost. But even physically floating through their bodies hadn’t elicited a response.
She laughed. “Crazy, ain’t it? I don’t know if he’s a meta or what, but all the ghosts are talking about him.”
If there was someone out there who could see ghosts… then maybe…
Jason had to find him. “Who is he?”
“He’s known by many names… Veil Walker… Reaper… Half-Pint.”
Jason sputtered. “Half-Pint??”
“That’s the wildest shit. It’s a kid. Like a middle schooler.” Delilah threw out one of her hands. “And he’s out here wandering Gotham every night and chatting up the dead.”
Jason could only stare at her. Processing. A kid who could see ghosts... What was this? The Sixth Sense: Gotham edition??
