Hirose could hear a multitude of comments similar to one another in their disgust behind him, but he zeroes in on the one who says the boy’s name. ‘So his name is Nakamura, huh? Mystery solved. He’ll always be handkerchief guy to me, though.’
The words of their classmates didn’t deter Nakamura, who continues to hold one of the octopuses with clear affection. It was kind of… sweet.
Watching as the octopus responded kindly to Nakamura, even gently resting one of its tentacles on his face, Hirose felt his hesitance fade.

Summary
Koharu Amakawa and Kozaki Yuugi first met in middle school when Kozaki was recruiting members for their school's soccer team. Koharu, who despite his strong physique wasn’t interested in sports, declined. Or that’s what he intended to do.
But after he seeing Kozaki score an "awesome goal" (his words), he happily agreed, creating a bond that would last through their whole middle school life. They are now in their first year of high school, a year before they get a letter from the Blue Lock program. This is their (love) story.
Konomi has never gotten along quite well with her “friends”, supposedly too aggressive and bitchy for them to handle. But after crushing on Kozaki, and subsequently joining a friendgroup consisting of Chigiri and the two other boys, she believes things could be looking up for her.
(Official bllk characters like Chigiri are in the story and more (along with oc side characters) will join as the chapters go on. This work will eventually be a part of a series of them in Blue Lock if me and my friend have the motivation for it.)

He's childhood friends with Mizi and Sua and later finds out his roommate is some weirdo named Ivan who keeps paying for his food like he's a charity case. (The man is just gay.)
