"See where we are?” Lottie started speaking hesitantly, panting slightly as she pushed herself up from the snow. Mari froze, hurriedly looking around, not understanding what she meant.
“You've been here before. You could let it be different.” Mari just stared at Lottie, trying to decipher whatever the fuck she was trying to tell Mari. Lottie was warning her of something, and as much Mari just wanted to get back up and run, she also didn't want to risk dying because she didn't listen to Lottie.
“Oh my god- Speak normally or just fuck off, Lottie!” Mari snapped, her voice rough as she nervously looked behind Lottie, as if waiting for someone to catch up. Shauna was coming, she had to be if Lottie had somehow already made it to Mari. Lottie was always going on about her wilderness bullshit, so there had to be something important for Lottie to not immediately try and kill Mari on sight.
Lottie stayed silent for a second, as if torn between being straightforward and just telling Mari or just staying silent. “...The pit, Mari.”
…Oh.
Or
Lottie gives up on being so vague, Mari doesn't fall into the pit, runs for her life, and lives.

Summary
Dottore's clone malfunctions at the initiation of a new Banker - or, a new Harbinger, which the Doctor himself hadn't realised yet. This malfunction is for no fathomable reason, and seems to be some kind of spontaneous release of a hormone to replicate a humane response to an 'emotion' in its brain, which doesn't truly exist. At least, that is how the man himself tells the tale. For the Doctor feeling would be a blasphemous thought, one which he could not allow- not under any circumstances should he stray from his cold life, hidden away in the harshly lit laboratory hunting the secrets of life and death themselves.

In other words, the Harbingers watch on, helpless to stop them, as the Regrator and the Doctor spin a cobweb for the other's feelings, only to become tangled up in the other's. -

Wings are a symbol of ambition, of power, of respect.
They are not something that can be taken from the universe by force, they must be given. They are given to only the most capable, to the worthy.
And Techno just woke up with wings.
OR
AU where wings are a sign of being blessed by the gods or something along those lines. The royal family are the only ones to ever have wings, but the universe decides to have a bit of fun, and gives Techno some.
This causes some issues, considering the fact the royal family hears of Techno's new wings, and then deems him to be family. Even if Techno doesn't think the same.

With Sirius free from Azkaban and taking up his role as Harry's guardian, Voldemort pursuing a political path to power rather than bloodshed, and a defense teacher that isn't actively trying to kill him for once, Harry has high hopes for his third year at Hogwarts. It'll be nice to sit back and be a kid for once.Only Harry's life is never so simple, and he soon finds himself facing a myriad of new challenges: school bullies and new family dynamics, horcruxes all but falling into his lap, his deja-vu brain giving him mixed signals, and hidden murmurs arising from old Death Eater circles that may pose a threat to him regardless of his tentative alliance with Voldemort. Things seem destined to never be easy, but if there's one thing Harry knows by now, it's that he won't have to do it alone.
