Summary
The sun hung high and violent over the Squawk, turning Mike into something that sparkled like a diamond. He was shirtless, his forearms corded and flexed as he hoisted another heavy box toward Murray’s van. Drips of oil and sweat clung to his pale skin, which seemed to be deepening into a golden brown with every passing minute.
Will was staring. He knew it was blatant, gross, even, but the way the sweat tracked down the dip of Mike’s spine was a siren song. He felt a desperate, irrational impulse to reach out and catch a drop with his tongue.
He had to snap out of it. They were supposed to be hauling these boxes over to that kid’s house... Dirk? Derek? to build a trap for the next Demogorgon. They were alone, the deadline was today, and absolutely nothing was getting done.
Leaning against the radio station doorframe, Will took a mental inventory. He was secretly thrilled Mike had started training with Lucas; the results, the broader chest, the lean cut of his abs, the widening of his back, were becoming impossible to ignore. It wasn’t fair.
But if Mike was going shirtless to rile him up, Will could play that game, too.
