"Espeically this little screw up, Oreo Pox!" The left ranted.
"Orion Pax," the little bot behind him muttered, quietly correcting the shuttle, and causing Megatronus a spark attack.
Of course...Of course that paint job just couldn't have been a coincidence. Primus hated him, that was the only conclusion, and Megatronus couldn't even blame the god. Clearly this wasn't his cybertron, not even his cybertron's past, so of course there would be different versions of those he had befriended, and fought all those eons. His Orion Pax, was never a miner as these shuttles implied, but...if this was a second chance? Well, be it a punishment or blessing, Megatronus wasn't going to let these shuttles take this young version of his brother away again.

One fateful day the gladiator Megatronus and his most valued comrade Orion Pax took their cause to the heart of the city of Iacon, to petition the planet’s senate for their cause—to make life better for their people. What would happen would test them in new and unique ways: after all, it’s not everyday an ordinary mech ascends to Primacy and changes everything.
When their petition is swept aside in favour of the senate recognising the newly appointed Rodimus Prime, Megatronus and Orion are forced to reconsider their methods. For Cybertron at large, war was an inevitable outcome and the wheels of fate were already in motion. Unable to halt Megatron’s destiny, Orion has found himself in a desperate situation, millennia and light years from his long dead planet.
Cut off from the bulk of Autobot forces with no real authority of his own, can Orion hold his own against someone he once trusted with his very spark?

“...You want me to help you with your…uh…” Ratchet trails off, making a vague gesture in the air.“My thesis. Yes,” Orion reasserts for the third time. (He had no idea what was so hard to understand about that!)
Orion watches Ratchet and his posse exchange a quick look and shared smirks that Orion could not decipher.
“Is this some kinda…joke? Or something?”
“ No ,” Orion fails to see the humor in the hypothetical joke he could’ve been playing on the medic. “I promise you I’m telling the trut–”
“Look, kid…” Ratchet interrupts. "I don’t think I’m the right kinda bot for this…”
Orion Pax needs the assistance of a medical student for his history thesis, and Ratchet *needs* the mech to leave him alone. Both mechs will get a lot more than they asked for when grander political forces clash around them, changing their views on who, exactly, they might be capable of becoming.

Megatronus is a miner, just trying to keep his numbers up, and his helm down. This becomes more difficult when he befriends Orion Pax– fellow miner, and self-described anti-functionalism-pacifist. Nobody could guess that their meeting would spiral into the most brutal and long-standing conflict in Cybertronian history.

Orion Pax was not the gentle hearted librarian history wanted him remembered as. He wouldn’t have gotten along with the gladiators that Megatron had befriended if he was.
He was always too clever for his own good that only the matrix of leadership finally silenced him. Now with it gone having sealed unicron and saving the earth. Orion pax has returned and is a bit annoyed Megatron had strayed from the plan they had originally made for their revolution but he will get the cybertronians back on track.
