Summary
Being God Touched was known to almost all Magicians as nothing more than a twisted fairytale or bizarre urban legend.
But magic was real and yet most people viewed that as a fairytale too.
The real question Magicians needed to be asking wasn’t “is being God Touched and blessing or a curse?”, it was “how can the curse be helpful and how can the blessing be cruel?”
The gods were cruel and lacked any sympathy for anything remotely human, but sometimes, in very very rare instances they weren’t as terrible as was previously believed.
