In normal circumstances, this would be considered improper, but no one fretted about leaving the two together unchaperoned.

Everywhere was Colin. The minty scent of his shampoo, the musk of his cologne, lingering sweat. Pictures on his desk, some of them featuring Penelope, maps and some of his photography on the walls, his lava lamp that he’d had since he was fifteen that somehow still worked. There was even a laundry basket full of dirty clothes he hadn’t had a chance to get to before he was off on his work trip.
It was all rather intoxicating, feeling surrounded by him even though he wasn’t even in the same country, and the more she rolled around in it, the more that tugging sensation from her belly to between her legs made itself known.
