Another alpha might think Nicky is being ridiculous. Another alpha would stop their mate from making a nest this big. Joe knows how he and Nicky live, though. They have to keep moving, never staying in one place for too long. The places they do stay are not especially comfortable. Bunkers and hangars and whatever dumps Andy has decided are safe havens. Rented rooms where everything smells sterile, or like the hundreds of other people who have stayed there in the past. Nicky so rarely gets nice things. If he and his instincts want this – to be piling every scrap of soft fabric he can find in the house onto their bed one of the few times they’re allowed to just relax – Joe isn’t going to stop him.
(or, ninety-nine percent of the time, omega!Nicky doesn’t have the time or the resources to nest. The one percent of the time he does have those things, he tends to go overboard.)
