Summary
Patterns and echoes of what she knew was supposed to happen - she could see them everywhere. She was what was wrong in the picture, the thing that shifted everything and caused devastating changes, and yet even then the weave of history showed a similar image to what she had expected.
Being reincarnated into the body of an Elf, growing up in Rivendell, it had always sounded like a dream to her. It was both a dream and a nightmare. Love and grief were inseperable for her, even when she was surrounded by people who were supposed to be immortal. The future loomed menacingly ahead, promising war, love, and even more loss.
She didn't want it. She wanted freedom to choose her own fate, and she wanted the freedom to explore Middle-earth.

Phil Callahan has made a large variety of strange arrests in his time working as a cop for Hawkins, Indiana. Daylight skinny-dippers; a small group of old ladies who’d attempted to rob the corner shop with their umbrellas, a guy who’d stolen a total of eighteen gnomes from his suburban neighborhood.
But pulling over Max Mayfield driving her brother’s Camaro at the ripe age of thirteen was pretty insane. Sure, kids will be kids and kids will be crazy. Until Steve Harrington crawled out of the backseat, clutched his knees and horror-movie hurled blood all over his boots and shit got crazier.
That took it from a minor concern to oh, fuck. Callahan has to take this kid to a hospital.

Summary
Growing up, Danny's parents had drilled it into him and Jazz the dangers of summoning rituals. Unlike something like a natural portal or the one they built in the basement, a summoning ritual brought ghosts to you without any clear way to send them back home.
After Danny's accident, he hadn't thought he needed to worry about summoning rituals anymore. After all, he kind of had his hands full with the whole "Ghosts are real and attacking him and also he's half-ghost now" thing.
However, once Danny took up the crown of Ghost King, he found himself having to deal with summoning rituals from the other side. It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't constantly confronted with ghosts of a past he had shoved deep down in his heart.
AKA 5 times Danny runs away from Damian after being summoned to Gotham, and the 1 time he stays.

This fic. Is. The shit.
It's got the most amazing characterisation you've ever seen, you've got some amazing growth in Sansa and Arya, you've got ripple effects that start small and then BAM and you're left absolutely reeling. My dudes it's great. I think I skipped over reading it something like 10 times but when I finally tried it I could Not put it down.
Beyond the excellent grasp of the characters and the setting, you've also got an author who clearly cares about what the lives of people were like during ~similar times, as well as an author who wishes to erase the most blatant shows of racism from the world of asoiaf.Also chapter 124 is great it's an Arya pov and I want to shout about it until I'm hoarse.
