Summary
Jim works nights at a government lab as a custodian while attending college. He dreams of the stars, of another life he's meant to have, but has no way to achieve those dreams. The military doesn't want him, and NASA is still aways from wanting to hire him.
One night, a ship falls from the sky. The lab takes possession of the ship and the 'specimen' inside.
Jim can't fight the pull he feels towards the strange man with slanted brows, pointy ears, and green blood.

And Sam wants to believe him. Wants to open the door and pull Bucky into a hug, mumble relief into his shoulder as he thanks whatever god out there that Bucky hadn't been hurt. But Sam knows better. He knows better because if that really was Bucky, standing outside with that same moody expression Sam's grown used to, if that truly was his Bucky-- Why can't he just open the unlocked door?
