Summary
Most people didn't manifest the mark of their soulmate right away. Oh, sure, it happened – it had happened with Lucifer, before anyone had known what a soulmate even was, before anyone had realised such a thing was possible for angels – but it was pretty uncommon.
And it was absolutely possible for it to break – or fade. It was pretty unlikely on Earth, hardly ever happened during the span of a regular human life – but when the souls in question were immortal? Yeah, sometimes things changed. Relationships grew distant, love degraded. Once you'd experienced the bond fading – or worse, breaking? – no, most people were a little wary about throwing themselves into a new relationship.

Lucifer has experienced having a soulmate. Alastor has never been interested in the concept. Something is dreadfully wrong, because Lucifer is seeing shadows move out of the corner of his eye - and Alastor's claws are glowing golden.

“Hm?” The demon narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing him in turn.
Lucifer had to play it cool. Even he wasn’t strong enough to fight a demon in his current condition.
“And, uh… those are some sharp teeth you have.”
“All the better to greet you with.” The demon’s smile grew impossibly wider.
He leaned closer to Lucifer and his tongue snaked out to wet his lips.
“And that’s… that’s a very long tongue you’ve got there.”
“All the better to eat you with.”
Lucifer blanched. “I, uh, wait, no, no, no. There seems to have been a misunderstanding, you see, I’m supposed to eat you!”

Summary
It isn’t weird if they both do it—that has been their sort of unspoken rule these past few years together.
After Astarion and Wyll each came clean about their own less than romantic reasons for sleeping together, Wyll suggests that maybe they would be better off as friends. That’s completely, totally fine with Astarion. Sure, he’s in love with the man, but it’s fine.
Their friendship starts to take a turn after Astarion learns how to transform into a bat, however. As a bat, he is soft, cute, helpless, and… he doesn’t hate that. As a bonus, Wyll also seems helpless to resist petting Astarion’s fluffy new fur.
Maybe this can be their new dynamic, then. By night, they will travel the Sword Coast as a pair of dashing adventurers. By day, Astarion will shrink himself down to sleep on Wyll’s chest and tell himself that this is enough.This is the “strangers to lovers to friends to friends-with-benefits-but-only-when-one-of-them-is-a-bat to lovers” Wyllstarion pet-play-adjacent semi-accidental BDSM fic you never knew you needed.

What a breath of fresh air to have Astarion praise his bedside manner.

Summary
Astarion and Gale are two sides of the same coin. They know what it's like to hunger, what it's like to be someone else's tool, both used to fulfill someone else's goals. Astarion has never been allowed to love, has only ever wanted peace and safety. Gale has searched for love his entire life, yearning to find someone who wants to be loved by him. They both want someone who sees them.
This is my take on Astarion and Gale learning what it means to find someone who sees beyond what they can offer (Astarion's body, Gale's magic). The story of what it's like to fall in love with someone who might just love you back.
Begins in the prequel, set during Act One, when they both feel drawn to one another, but there's not a time nor place for anything deeper. It continues, months later, after the brain, after Baldur's Gate, in the magnificent city of Waterdeep, a fresh start for them both, and time to heal from wounds neither knew they had.

“And this is me,” he said, drawing to a halt in front of the portrait. It didn’t hurt to look upon, anymore. He’d never been so vain that he mourned his previous looks. But, it had been a nasty shock to realize he could no longer visit where he wished, dine as he so chose, be welcome at any public entertainment or meeting of minds. He missed being able to melt into the fray of humanity; just another person enjoying the fruits of human ingenuity and the joy of shared experience.
“Oh, look at you,” Crowley said with damningly polite approval. “Cute, in a cherubic sort of way.” She looked over at him, obviously comparing, and Aziraphale met her scrutiny with a bland expression. “I like the horns,” she decided. “They add character.”
“I’m so glad to meet with your approval,” he said dryly and shrugged. “They’re here to stay, at any rate.”

In which Aziraphale isn’t quite Sleeping Beauty, and Crowley isn’t quite Cinderella, but their lives definitely collide because of some Beauty and the Beast nonsense.

It had become something of a habit of his as a method of becoming closer to humanity. How could he seek to help and guide the people of earth if he didn’t truly understand their forms? Their physical bodies were so much a part of what motivated them, and so he fashioned for himself a variety of different combinations between his plump thighs. It was purely research oriented at first. He had gotten several books on the subject, and found the multitude of shapes and sizes human appendages could take to be fascinating. He had experimented for some time before realizing his preference most days was for a cunt.
