You've heard the rumors about modern Sonic media, that a mandate from SEGA has been levied at the creatives that bans any and all depictions of explicit romantic feelings between the characters. Well, what if that was not only true, but there was a tangible, textual reason for it?
The Mandate Has Ended is an AU where everyone in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise is suddenly able to feel romantic and sexual attraction to one another, all at once, with the flick of a switch. Everyone, that is, other than the man himself, who didn't like romance even before the 'Mandate' was put in place. How does everyone deal with these newly remembered feelings of affection and desire, how does Sonic deal with the countless unwanted advances of his peers, and how did this all happen in the first place?

Summary
There is always a sense of wonder when one reaches theirs goals, especially if said goals seemed impossible. Getting revenge after a lifetime of wrong, standing at the top of a company after starting as a janitor. Accomplishing such things leaves one soaring high in their lives until a single question blindsides them.
What now?
That was the question that plagued the Lamb after his triumph over heretics and death alike. His cult thrived and expanded, his word second to none and his reign absolute over the land. Yet countless years spent nurturing and appeasing his flock has left him weary and eager for an opportunity to forego his responsibilities for the briefest of moments. The Lamb knew this was nigh impossible, for what cult could function without a leader? Despite knowing this, he still prayed for a break from his taxing work.
Until one day, his prayers were answered in the form of a weathered grimoire.
