She sighs, leaning against the massive gift and sliding down to sit in the ground despondently.
“I’m gonna get you open,” she insists, blinking her eyes blearily. She yawns and her eyes start to water with sleepy tears. “Tomorrow.”
Her heavy eyes slip shut one at a time, and she curls on her side, pillowing her face in her elbow.
Slowly, quietly, something starts to hum the gentle tune of a music box long since destroyed.

The Veteran had integrated himself into their group seamlessly. As an experienced traveler with enough mental (and physical) mapping to rival Hyrule--who didn't pay nearly enough attention to distance so much as he did landmarks and the "taste of the air"--Legend had taken one look at the lot of them and known exactly where they were heading and exactly how to get them there.
They hadn't really realized it at the time, but Legend's "one look at them" had probably started long before they slammed the doors and pulled the shutters. He had probably been watching them for a while.
